Indian Institute of Advance Studies : Situated on a hillock west of Shimla this was formerly the palace of British Viceroy built in 1888. The huge, fortress- like building with its spectacular English- renaissance great stone structure has six story’s and a magnificent reception. On Sunday only the grounds around the magnificent building are open.
Jakhu Temple : Dedicated to the God Hanuman, the temple is at an altitude of 2455 meters, it is two kilometers from The Ridge, and it is also approachable by vehicular road from Sanjauli. It offers a panoramic view over the surrounding valleys, out to the snow capped peaks and over Shimla itself. There are many monkeys around the temple.
